My goodness! So much has happened since I last vented. I am now no longer a member of the Lakeshore Sanitation District. Past mayor Bob Barnes teased me at Rotary today. I could pontificate on that fiasco, but it wouldn't do anyone any good, so it's best left unsaid. My speaker for Rotary today would have been so cool, but she was stuck in Kingston due to our monsoonal season. She promises to be there next week. I had 45 minutes to prepare BS for the meeting. My group is so forgiving. Nancy and I did scrapbooking for 4 hours after that. She is a whiz and I'm doing a scrapbook for our workcampers that got married on June 5th. I took pictures at the wedding and at the party at Pizza Hut afterward, plus I had some other candid shots of them working at the refuge. I hope they like it. Oh, I forgot, I got this really cool picture of them "getting down" at the Pine Knot. Tomorrow is my regular day at Paws & Claws, and Marty and Sue are coming on Saturday for the weekend leaving on Monday. It should be a wonderful time on the pontoon. I hope Marty catches a fish. All I care about is swimming around with my wine on the mesa cerveza. I'm trying to get all my bases covered before I leave in August. In the meantime, I'm covering for Eliana, doing her Humane Happenings and I've volunteered to be the cashier on Fridays at Paws & Claws permanently.

Things can't stay bad forever, and seldom do

Well, here it is Thursday already. I survived and worked my tail off on Tuesday at the thrift store in the afternoon after a hectic morning at the refuge. My neighbors invited me to go to the Inn for a drink after work. Shortly before that it started raining and hasn't quit since. My Humane Society boss was stuck on the other side of the lake due to rock slides and full arroyos. Life hasn't been this exciting in a while. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and through the weekend. I don't know; the sky seems to be brightening. You know the weatherman. I think he just looks outside and makes the rest up.

Darn! I guess I'm having a bad day. Marshall and I went for our walk this morning, but after I ate breakfast, I was so tired I could hardly stand it. I laid in bed and played my solitaire game. My breakfast didn't set very well, so I felt kind of sick at my stomach. At lunch time, I got up and cleaned up the kitchen checking for my friendly ants. I had a yogert instead of lunch. The sheriff served me the papers for the water board suit. Eddie called and said he got served too. JR supposedly cancelled the suite. Oh well, we'll see. We have a meeting Thursday morning to turn it over to the city. I took a shower and did my financials for tomorrow. I hope I feel better. I think this is one of those things that happens every once in a while, ever since my second bout of cancer. It's been trying to storm all day, so it's been sort of gloomy. That sure doesn't help a sickly person. Marshall has already gone to bed.

Wow! Am I the only woman in the world to have two blogs.
Since I have figured this stuff out, I'm sure to be dangerous. I was just talking to my youngest daughter Sue and she is having some medical problems that she wants to ignore. Marty & I have assured her that she will contact the doctor on Monday. Lord help, this is why the Lord has spared me. Gosh, this isn't what I wanted to post. I had an ephiany about how I was going to abandon all my volunteer stuff and get in an RV and go do my thing. You know it's coming up on 2 yrs and that's the way Gary envisoned me. What took so long! I'm sure Marty will take care of Sue and I will persue this. There's my Gary and his dog Chubs loving on each other. We are motorhoming outside of Yuma.
Wow! I didn't think I'd ever find out how to do this; however, I ate a nice salad for lunch and it must have given my brain a boost. Yesterday was the 4th of July and it seems that we have a lot of people at the lake. My friend Judy, a co-worker at the Refuge, came over to help me catalog some old records so we could see how much we could price them for at Paws & Claws. We worked for over four hours and got three-quarters of it done. Then she decided to take me out for dinner as a pay-back for a lunch I bought her. We went to the Inn and had a cobb salad. It was good. Then she had to get home to her dog and cat. I went home to try to finish reading a book that I discovered that I had already read. I couldn't remember how it ended. Marshall wanted to go to be at 8:30, but then he kept me up because he was afraid of the fireworks that the neighbors were setting off. I imagine tonight will be pretty the same. I am so relieved to know how to work this blog stuff: I was afraid I might have to call my granddaughter. She's busy being a lifeguard and giving swimming lessons. I am so proud of her.
